Abstract (at least 300 words to describe your proposal)

I will present an experimental proposed document model for Wikipedia articles that combines text sentences and their citations via Wikidata references. Building on top of the VisualEditor, this should enable a natural editing experience that attaches more machine-readable data to the articles; this has implications for search, reader views, translation tools, multilingual switching, etc.

Alternate user interfaces for voice search, visual organization of related data and media, and more will be explored based on this model.
