Abstract (at least 300 words to describe your proposal)

Do you feel included in the product development process? Is collaboration productive, informative, and respectful when it comes to building products and features? The Community Liaisons at the Wikimedia Foundation are holding a roundtable discussion to discuss what works and what doesn't work around product development and involving users’ voices in every step along the way. We want your thoughts on how to reach and communicate with more users: from notifying and engaging you in the first stages of the product development process, to organizing requests and feedback, and including you in the evolution of the projects.

If you have participated in any product or feature discussions, felt heard, not felt heard, or simply have an opinion on how the Foundation could better collaborate with users to build what you need - either on wiki or in Phabricator, through surveys, smoke signals, or telepathy - we want you to come talk with us.

The discussion will cover several examples of WMF products currently or recently in development, discussing what works, what doesn’t work, and how entire communities can act as partners and collaborators with the WMF to build the right thing.
