Talk:Accommodation

Information will be on this page in April

Can information about accommodation still be expected? I already find the scholarship issuing time schedule uber-tight, being finished more or less 1 month before the conference. This makes it rather impossible for attendees to plan, especially for those who waited either for this information here or the information on scholarships, and prices do indeed increase. @ProtoplasmaKid, Wotancito, Christian Cariño, Andycyca, Omar sansi: Hello, is anybody there? :-) Vogone (talk) 11:42, 12 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Vogone: Will be published soon :) --Omar sansi (talk) 00:31, 16 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'd like to book my accomodations very soon, so I'm looking forward to this info. Thanks!--Sage (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:07, 28 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Any news? Cheers, DerHexer (talk) 09:38, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Booking.com

Have booked One Ciudad de Mexico Alameda by booking.com for July 14th to 20th and it come out less than via these instructions for what it is worth. Doc James (talk) 17:38, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

We have also booked via booking.com. Native on-line system of booking seems not working at all. However price via booking.com is only preliminary one and does not contain taxes. Polimerek (talk) 14:21, 22 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Discount code is ineffective

The discount code is ineffective for Hotel One Ciudad de México Alameda. I'm told that there are no special rates for that code (but the default rates are basically the ones listed on the wiki). If the code is indeed not required, the instructions should be removed because they might be confusing.--2.89.213.124 03:00, 12 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Full?

The discount hotels seemed full up for the days I wanted. There are many nearby hotels. I picked Hotel Fontan, seven minutes walk away. Advice is welcome. If others pick this one feel free to leave a note here and we can touch base there. -- Econterms (talk) 23:25, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hotel One charges more than they said they would

I stayed there from the 16th to the 22nd, the period during which the page says the discount would apply. We were quoted about US$400 for the time, including taxes. We still have the email from the hotel.

Upon departure, it turns out that the final bill was ... US$739! My wife is outraged, and we will probably be disputing the extra $237 (I did not get an itemized bill, nor did I avail myself of any extras).

Has this happened to anyone else? Daniel Case (talk) 22:29, 25 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind. We figured out that what I thought was the receipt was really just the receipt for the taxes, all in pesos. The credit card company says we paid the price we thought we paid. Daniel Case (talk) 05:34, 26 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
