Abstract (at least 300 words to describe your proposal)
Our goal is to organize medical students, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals to edit Wikipedia articles through the non-profit, Wiki Project Med (WP:MED), to develop high quality medical articles read by millions of people per month. We will present details of our process for creating a student group and course, with the hope that similar efforts will be implemented at other medical schools. Additionally, we will present statistics on what we accomplished, and will describe our goals. We would like to end the presentation with a question and answer session, as well as a discussion in which fellow Wikipedia editors from around the world can provide insights on how we can improve.
