An endorsement

Dear Programme Committee,

Thank you so much for considering this session submission for the conference programme. I am writing to endorse it and to encourage you to accept it. To fully disclose, I am a proud participant in #100wikidays, or as Vassia calls us: one of its victims. :)

According to WikiMetrics, in the month and a half since I started this project, I've increased my total edit count by +30%. Thanks to this initiative, I've been more engaged during the past 40 days than I've been in the past 4 years! In fact, I'm a very active editor now (+100 edits per month).

To date, this initiative has inspired 41 volunteers from more than a dozen countries across the globe to create +798 articles in at least 20 languages! Please see the Meta page for the most recent stats. [1]

More than anything else I have seen yet, I believe this project has the potential to profoundly transform how and why people engage with our mission, participate in our movement, and create content on our projects.

Participation, retention, quality content generation, awareness and readership... This contest ticks a lot of boxes! That is why I truly hope you will approve this session for the conference programme, and I thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely yours, Msannakoval (talk) 17:56, 1 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
