About Nestor

Néstor García Canclini is Distinguished Professor at Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana in Mexico. He has been professor at Austin, Duke, Stanford, Barcelona, Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo universities. He has been awarded the Guggenheim scholarship and Premio Casa de las Américas. His most important works are Consumers and Citizens, Hybrid Cultures (Minnesota University Press), and The Imagined Globalization (Duke University Press). In 2014 he was awarded the Premio Nacional de Ciencias y Artes de México.
